Live-Tweeting Activity

Last class, I had the opportunity to live-tweet during the Nebraska Republican Gubernatorial Primary Debate. It was a very interesting experience for me, especially with it being a political event. I am someone who doesn’t pay close attention to politics and doesn’t know as much as I probably should. With my lack of political knowledge, there were some challenged listening to the candidates. During these debates, the candidates will talk about their big policies and things they will do if elected. While I knew what they were talking about and what they intended to do, I didn’t know which policies were most important.

I always like the idea of live-tweeting, and I’ve done it once before in a different class for a basketball game. People always want to keep up with events as they are happening, so live-tweeting is the perfect opportunity for them to follow these events.

I would say the thing I disliked was the fact that it was a political event that I didn’t know much about. I think the person tweeting should be someone credible in that realm, and that just isn’t me for politics.

Overall, I enjoyed the activity. If you want to check out what I had to say, go to @JKmediaST_2022 on Twitter!
